This week on the podcast, I had the honor of talking with Erin Regan— Wake Forest University alum, former Wake Forest Women's Soccer and professional soccer player, LA County firefighter, founder of Girls Fire Camp and the SD Women’s Fire Prep Academy, artist, mom, and recipient of the Pat Tillman Award for Service at this year’s ESPYs.Erin grew up a competitive athlete, learned discipline and resilience at Wake, and then took those lessons straight into one of the toughest professions there is. She’s helped battle massive wildfires, responded to life-or-death emergencies, helped rescue Tiger Woods after his crash—and still says the most meaningful victories are the quiet ones. What moved me most was how she talks about choosing service over spotlight, effort over outcome, and curiosity over accolades. She is helping change the face of firefighting for the next generation of girls simply by showing them what’s possible. If you need a reminder of what real leadership looks like, this episode is for you.
